Padel39 is built around the love of padel, wellness, and social interactions.

We launched our first club Padel39 (North Austin), in October 2024. We recently announced the acquisition of Dallas Padel Club (temporarily called Dallas Padel Club by Padel39), representing the first public acquisition in U.S. padel. Then, Padel39 (East Austin) will open in mid-March 2026. Together, these make padel39 the state's largest padel club portfolio.
We are often asked why we are called Padel39. Well, we celebrate the origins of our sport by using ‘39’, the first two digits of the zip code for Acapulco, Mexico, where the sport originated.

Padel is naturally a social sport. It is usually played as doubles, and with the enclosed court, encourages communication and teamwork. Players chat between points, and banter with competitors across the net. Together, Padel39 helps develop special moments that create friendships and bonds that can last a lifetime.

Padel has similarities with platform (paddle) tennis, that was devised in the 1920s and is still played today by diehard enthusiasts.
The sport of Padel, as we know and love it today, began in 1969 when a wealthy businessman, Enrique Corcuera, and his wife, Viviana, built the first court at his holiday home in Puerto de Acapulco, Mexico. He loved tennis but didn’t have enough space for a full-sized tennis court. So, he built a smaller court with walls to play with his friends.
The sport evolved when his Spanish friend, Alfonso of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, tried Padel at Enrique’s home and instantly fell in love with the sport. Alfonso returned to Marbella, Spain, and, with a few modifications, built two Padel courts at his Tennis club in 1974.
Then, in 1975, Julio Menditeguy, an Argentinian member of Alfonso’s Tennis Club, felt the same passion and decided to import the sport to Argentina. And so, the sport started to grow globally.
Padel39 values the sport's origins. It is named after the first two digits of the Acapulco ZIP code, where the sport was first invented.
